Implementing Behavioral Modifications to Foster Academic Success In 2008

Avenues To Success first mental health program in Charlotte, NC, opened its doors to provide Therapeutic Day Treatment Services to at-risk youth with in the school setting. Avenues To Success is a clinical treatment program for children who are exhibiting ongoing difficulties in the school, community, or home.

ATS focuses on providing children with serious emotional and behavioral disorders. Services are provided on-site and skills for success are reinforced directly within the school environment. The goal is to nurture a healthy and functional environment for children with emotional and behavioral problems, utilizing a holistic, family approach.

We teach and reinforce appropriate social skills and behaviors to ultimately reduce the risk of more restrictive educational placements, out-of-home placements, hospitalizations, and judicial system and/or social service involvement. Parents and guardians are seen as an integral part of each child's treatment. They are involved in parent support groups, educational groups, and any individual meetings required for their child.
